The federal Republic of Nigeria is a very great country,located in western part Africa. Nigeria was colonized by the great Britain and gain Her independent on 1st october 1960 ,Through the struggle of there great Nationalist,who some of them died in there quest to liberate our dear country from colonial rule.
Nigeria practise federal system of government and there exist two chamber house; The senate is the upper chamber of the National Assembly which is the supreme law making body of the land. The constitution has vested in it,the power to make laws for the peace, order and good governance of the federation. The senate is led by the president,deputy president,majority leader,minority leader,chief whip,whips and committee chairmen. There are 109 senators in the senate. The other house known as the house of representative,is the lower chamber of the National Assembly which is the supreme law making body of the land. The house of representative is led by the speaker,deputy speaker,majority leader,minority leader,chief whip and committe chairmen. There are 360 members.
Nigeria as a nation with a population estimated to be around 150 million and with about 200 ethnic groups is regarded as the most populous black nation.
Nigeria is blessed with several mineral resourses but is globally known for Her reach crude oil, infact Nigeria is one of the major crude oil supplier in the global market.
Notwithstanding numerous tribulation that have faced the nation which ordinarily would have heated up the country's polity, but Nigeria GOOD PEOPLE GREAT NATION SURVIVED it because of there UNITY IN DIVERSITY.
Thanks to the almighty GOD who all there years bound us together as ONE NIGERIA, and by october this year Nigeria will cerebrate Her 50 years of independent. Always
